About Us:
Don & Linda Rush were born in Alberta and raised just north of the city of Calgary. Don was raised on a small Jersey Dairy farm north west of the hamlet of Balzac and Linda was raised on a mixed farm south west of the town of Crossfield. Married in 1978 Don & Linda have been farming as a team since they moved to their current location in 1985. From our farm we have a very “pleasant view” of the Rocky Mountains and a person can see for miles on a clear day.
Don & Linda moved to their present location, north east of Crossfield, in July of 1985. In December of that year they started milking dairy cattle with the help of their two girls. As time went on things changed. The girls left home and Don & Linda decided to add a u-pick berry operation to the farm. The cattle were sold in 2007 and research began in earnest to find out what types of fruits were available for sale in the U-Pick Market.
